For last ten years, RSS has been planning to make the announcement of India’s conversion in 2025 coinciding with the completion of hundred years of their existence. The saints and sadhus also hold a Sanatan Board, a body akin to the union government, should also be formed on the same day. Nevertheless some saints are not in favour of this move, as the saffron ecosystem and especially RSS would come under severe attack and even be accused of indulging in sedition.
The protagonists of the line of formation of Board however nurse the view that it would provide sufficient time to study the functioning of the government and ministries. The board in future would be in the position to frame its own parallel governance mechanism and procedure. The “Constitution” proposes a unicameral legislature called the Hindu Dharma Parliament whose members would be called Dharmik Sansads.
The 501-page draft constitution prepared by a 25-member committee of saints and Hindu scholars, draws ideas from the Ramayana, Manusmriti and Chanakya’s Arthashastra. The committee, known as the Hindu Rashtra Samvidhan Nirmal Samiti, includes scholars of Sanatan Dharma from Banaras Hindu University, Sampurnanand Sanskrit University in Varanasi and the Central Sanskrit University in New Delhi.
Significantly, none of scholars involved in the process of preparing the constitution is aware of the modern needs of the country and its people. The committee members plan to appeal to the global fraternity to help them in their effort to change the character and identity of India, which according to them would be the first Hindu Rashtra in the world. Surprisingly they prefer to ignore that Nepal was the first Hindu country but could not continue to maintain that identity. Eventually it has to accept the democratic structure in its quest to manage the political economy realities and contradictions it was facing.
If Swami Anand Swaroop Maharaj, patron of the committee is to be believed, they would succeed in their mission to give the final shape of India as a Hindu nation by 2035. “Human values are in the nucleus of our Constitution, which has been prepared by 14 scholars from north and 11 from south India. Our Constitution is not against other religions but those who are found involved in anti-national activities will face harsher punishment than what is awarded to them currently,” says Swaroop, the head of Shambhavi Peeth in Varanasi. He is said to be a close confidant of Modi.
The proposal provides a clear and candid message that the citizens of the Hindu Rashtra would not have fundamental rights, forget about the democratic rights. Like Hitler’s Germany, military education would be mandatory for every citizen. There would be harsh punishment for theft. There is no clarity about the nature of trial. The minimum voting age has been fixed at 16 years and only those belonging to Sanatan Dharma will be allowed to contest elections.
This directive obviously implied that in Hindu Rashtra there will no place for Dalits, tribals, Muslims, Sikhs, Jains, Parsis and even smaller Hindu subcastes who do not subscribe to philosophy of Hindutva and its politics. It would witness complete regimentation. The followers of Jainism, Sikhism, Buddhism would be allowed vote in the polls. These people cannot contest elections and send their representatives in the Sansad.
Present day India speaks of Sarva dharma Sumbawa. But this phrase would become irrelevant in the Hindu Rashtra. The people from these castes would have to be subservient to Hindus. There is yet another catch. The Hindu Rashtra would stand on the pillars on discrimination even amongst the Hindus. The Constitution says ’The candidates for the Dharm Sansad will have to be a student of Vedic Gurukula (school)’’. It is obvious that the Dalits, SC, ST, oppressed and untouchables and their sons could never aspire to represent their communities.
With the pure aim to fool the people the ‘Constitution’ incorporates the provision of the ‘Right to Recall’. Dharm Sansad will conduct a plebiscite in the Constituency if a proposal signed by a minimum of 50 thousand people from the Constituency is sent to it to recall their representative. This is simply utopian. In any case one upper caste Hindu or a feudal lord would replace the other.
The ‘Constitution’ is for implementation of the ‘Hindu’ judicial system. It is simply revival and reenactment of Manusmriti, which is anti poor, Dalit and women. Interestingly the constitution pledges; “Everyone will be guaranteed quick justice.....the punishment will be aimed at reforming the person.....those levelling false allegations will be punished’’. But it is obvious the ultimate sufferers would be the Dalits, poor and downtrodden.
The most imprudent pledge of the constitution is, Hindu Rashtra will follow the ancient Vedic Gurukula system of education and all the English medium schools will be converted into Gurukulas. All the madrasas (Islamic schools) being run with the help of state financial support will be closed. These Hindu zealots want to raise a battalion of ill-educated and uneducated youths. At a time when the education perspective and its testament is undergoing massive change and new option for development are being explored these bigot would like to push the new breed of students thousands of years behind. We have seen how some of the Hindu zealots propagating vedic education ruining the basic education.
In one way they are right. They do not want educated youth who will question them. The Hindu zealots need a band of mercenaries who are always prepared with lances and swords to fight for them, as is happening now. The sons and daughters of saffron leaders are going abroad for higher and quality education, but they are handing tridents and swords to the wards of the lower middle class Dalit and poor people who are carrying out lynching at the directives of their upper caste leaders.
It is shocking to see that the secular and liberal forces are averse to taking to the streets and reaching out to the workers, Dalits, tribals and poor to expose the designs of the saffron ecosystem and launch a crusade against the rightist and divisive forces. Perilously they continue to live in the fools paradise a believe that the entire exercise would prove to be non-starter. They must gear to expose such Supremacist forces, lead social political movements to wean gullible people away from these reactionary forces and present the alternate secular vision. (IPA Service)

THE MOVE COINCIDES WITH THE FOUNDATION CENTENARY PROGRAMME OF RSS IN 2025
Arun Srivastava - 2025-02-01 12:06
Foreboding that the Hindutva fanatics and saffron ecosystem would convert India into a theocratic state and christen it as the Hindu Rashtra in 2025 appears to be taking a realistic shape and character with the Hindu saints and rightist forces unveiling the “Constitution of Akhand Hindu Rashtra” on February 2, the Basant Panchami, at the Mahakumbh and forwarding the same to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for consideration by the BJP as also his government.
