Kalyan Singh said that senior BJP leaders were worried that his Jan Kranti Party could damage BJP in UP Assembly polls.

Veteran leader said that as a part of the strategy to prevent damage to saffron party, BJP national president Nitin Gadkari sent three important leaders including state party chief SP Shahi, Yogi Aditya Nath and Sanjay Joshi with a proposal either to join the party and become incharge for UP or enter into alliance and agree for seat sharing.

Kalyan Singh said since BJP was already on ventilator, he refused the proposal and said that party had become dead snake and he would not like to wrap it around his neck.

Commenting on the proposed rath yatra of LK Adwani on the issue of corruption, Kalyan Singh said that since senior leaders of BJP were involved in several financial scandals and the party had not taken any action against them, such rath yatra would not have any impact in the country.

Kalyan Singh who is the undisputed leader of lodh rajput backward community said that his party headed by his son Rajbir Singh will contest all assembly eats on its own and would not enter into alliance with any political party.

Veteran leader who commands respects from sadhvi Uma Bharati also lodh rajput, who had been brought to UP to lead the campaign said that she would not be able to make any impact in UP elections.

Kalyan Singh argued that if Uma Bharti could not save her own deposit in M-P assembly elections then how could she ensure victory for BJP candidates in UP.

He believes that if Gujarat CM Narendra Modi is projected at national level, it would help Congress in mobilizing Muslim support for the party. Kalyan Singh is of the opinion that if BSP emerged as single largest party then BJP would once again support Mayawati becoming chief minister. He also said in the past, BJP had supported Mayawati thrice in becoming the chief minister and lost its support base at ground level. (IPA)
