Much significance is being attached to huge crowd at kisan maharally addressed by SP state president Akhilesh Yadav who is leading Samajwadi Kranti Rath in Bundelkhand these days.
Significantly enough, local Tuban maidan in Lalitpur was surging with crowd gathered to welcome Samajwadi Kranti Rath and listen to Akhilesh Yadav who launched campaign in this the region known for its backwardness.
With the success of kisan maharally in Lalitpur and road side reception in other parts, Samajwadi Party has posed serious challenge in Bundelkhand before ruling BSP and Congress.
Akhilesh Yadav said the amount of support and response he got for his Samajwadi Kranti Rath through Bundelkhand made it clear that Samajwadi Party will get clear majority in 2012 assembly elections and form its own government in the state.
The main thrust of Akhilesh Yadav’s attack was that Chief Minister Mayawati had become dictator and was instrumental in construction of her own statues.
Amid the good response from crowd, Akhilesh Yadav said chief minister Mayawati celebrated her birthday by wearing garlands full of currency notes of Rs 100 worth several hundred crores of rupees.
Taking the advantage of WikiLeaks exposure recently, Akhilesh Yadav alleged that Mayawati was wearing sandals worth Rs. 15 lakhs. He blamed BSP as well as Congress Party led UPA government at the centre for backwardness of the region. The State SP president attacked UPA government for inflation and said that it was becoming difficult for people of backward region to survive
SP leader said Bundelkhand was passing through the phase where people were suffering due to extreme poverty and starvations. He held state government as well as UPA government responsible for the plight of the people living in Bundelkhand. Taking up the cause of local population, Akhilesh Yadav said if his party was voted to power than it would put local Saharia tribals in scheduled caste and scheduled tribe list.
It would be worth mentioning here that Congress is also taking interest in Bundelkhand as AICC general secretary Rahul Gandhi extensively toured the area and was instrumental in sending central government package for the region. (IPA)
