Many of our rites and practices are yet cruel, and many of them are nothing but superstitions. It certainly means that people have a very low idea of religions. The result is before us. We do not have the peace of mind and the happiness, more properly the bliss, that the religions suppose to give us. It is yet illussive. We are yet quarrelling over religions. We are killing people in the name of religions. We are creating more miseries for people and all in the name of religions. Some among the wise even tried to evolve a Universal religion through incorporating best of the things of all religions. They are doing a good thing. However, this cannot solve the problems we face. People will have to think beyond religions. We will have to understand that religions at best can give us the momentum in the direction that revolves round the nucleus of the religion itself. We will be moving, but with a centripetal force that forbids us to break the fetters of religions. Fetters are all alike. Therefore, we want to break them. We want freedom, the absolute freedom, the Moksh, the Salvation, that can give us freedom from all tribulations of life. It is possible to achieve, but not with the same momentum that creates a centrifugal force equal to or less than the centripetal force. To break these fetters there will have to be a momentum that makes the centrifugal force greater than the centripetal one. At this point we break all the fetters of religions and begin to realise a situation of the bliss that marks the great journey of Dharm. Religions at best can carry us to that point where the realisation of the bliss begins.
One can do this even without religions. One needs only to break the fetters that one is tied with. We will discuss this in another place, since we are all concerned here only with Dharm, The Religion, that begins from the point where religions end to make room for the bliss. The bliss is one, one for all, irrespective of the religions the people followed in their lives. Religions are many, but The Religion is one, Dharm is one, the bliss is one. Truths are many, but The Truth is one. Realities are many, but The Reality is one. There is no need to quarrel even over these words. Call it whatever you like. You may call it even nothingness. However, the bliss will be there, the one and the same thing.
Why Dharm ?
The beginning of a great journey
Where we have lost the path to bliss
