On the other hand, Akhilesh Yadav government has ordered posting of central forces and border of all the affected districts have been sealed to prevent the entry of those would participate in the parikrama. The district administration of Faizabad has also directed people not give shelter to those would participate in the parikrama.

VHP-sponsored 84-Kosi parikrama in Ayodhya is being viewed as the joint programme of the VHP-RSS-BJP combine to polarise Hindu votes on one hand and Samajwadi Party, on the other, for its Muslim votes before 2014 Lok Sabha polls.

Although the decision for this parikrama had been taken at the sant sammelan of VHP in the month of June at Haridwar, but matter was highlighted when VHP delegation met Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav and his chief minister son Akhilesh Yadav in Lucknow on August 17.

At a time when the issue of Ramjanambhumi and babri mosque is pending with the Supreme Court the demand from VHP to allow the parikrama to create awareness in people for the construction of Ram temple at Ayodhya by bringing the bill in Parliament is deliberate attempt to revive Hindutva feeling before the polls.

With Gujarat CM Narendra Modi already a face of aggressive Hindutva after Gujarat riots in 2002 when thousands of Muslims were killed, VHP-RSS-BJP is once again reviving temple issue to polarise votes.

Political experts feel that the Sangh parivar wants to capitalise on the possible confrontation with the administration of Akhilesh Yadav government, which not only put ban on the parikarama but made elaborate police arrangements to deal with VHP sants and volunteers who would defy ban.

VHP got jolt through the letter of Shankracharya of Govardhan peeth in Mathura wami Adokhshjanand Teerath Saraswati to CM Akhilesh Yadav requesting him to not allow illegal yatra of VHP to turn into political yatra. He urged the chief minister to counter such political attempt with firm hand to are hell bent to foil communal harmony.

Faizabad MP and UPCC President Nirmal Khatri said that the proposed yatra was not following any known religious traditions but for gaining support for Ram Temple at Ayodhya while the issue was already pending with Supreme Court which had directed to maintain status quo.

Nirmal Khatri maintained that it was joint strategy to Samajwadi Party as well as BJP to polarize voters and create communal tension.

CPI national secretary Atul Anjan said that so-called VHP sants manufactured the dates for the parikarama which had no religious sanctions or practice.

Atul Anjan alleged that the proposed programme is designed by VHP-RSS_BJP to divided the society and create communal tension and polarize votes in view of 2014 Lok Sabha polls. He father said that various forces were adding fuel to the crisis for their own interests.

Political analyst Surendra Rajput said that the area covered in proposed 84 kosi parikrama is spread over 300 kms in six -seven districts and has the presence of schools run by VHP and Yuva Hindu Vahini of Mahant Adityanath of Gorkahpur peeth and BJP MP.

“The proposed yatra is an attempt to galvanize the process of communal divide in the sensitive districts in order to take help in Lok Sabha seats in this region which would decided future course action by Gujarat CM Narednra Modi in UP”, Rajput opined.

Samajwadi party has also made clear that it would not allow UP to become Gujarat and its government in UP was committed to secularism and would maintain law and order situation in the state.

Mr Rajendra Choudhry, spokesman of the party said that BJP was already under shock by poor performance in the last assembly polls that it why it took the help from RSS and VHP to raise communal issue to polarize votes which would not succeed.

BJP national president Mr Rajnath Singh announced few days before the parikrama in Lucknow that state government should not put ban religious rights of Hindu.

Muslim community leaders are also agitated by the proposed yatra and feel that it was law and order issue after the ban and Akhilesh Yadav government should deal it with firm hand.

Mr Zafaryab Jilani, member of All India Muslim personal Law board and convener of All India Babri Masjid action Committee said that there was no historical evidence that such prikrama took place even during British regime. He said it was law and order issue and government should allow any elements to disturb communal harmony.

Imam Idgarh, Maulana Khalid Rasheed Firangimahali said that no organization or individual was above rule of law and action should be taken anybody that violate law of the land. He further said that All India Muslim Personal law board had explained its viewpoint on Babri issue and there could be only settlement that was through court order only. (IPA Service)
