Meanwhile, the Congress - Samajwadi Party alliance is all set for quiet burial as both the party refuse to budge from their stated positions, said a senior leader of Samajwadi Party.
Interestingly, Mr Ramvilas Paswan , President, Lok Jan Shakti Party has indicated that his party is not interested to forge alliance with the Congress Party in the ensuing Lok Sabha election mainly due to Rashtriya Janta Dal cosying up with Congress Party and the Janta Dal.
It is worth mentioning here that the Chief Minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar along with his party JD(U) is gaining considerable foothold in the state.
Mr Paswan comes forward with the charge, albeit in private, that UPA government failed in tackling inflation and not doing enough to control internal security problems.
It has worried LJP leader, Mr Paswan.
However, Trinamool Congress leader, Mamta Bannerjee in all probability will have truck with Congress Party in the next general election as the Congress has given her much elbow room on the Singur issue for a face-off with the Left and her love with BJP was more for Atal Behari Vajpayee than BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate L.K Advani.
Infact, Congress Party's dilemma in south has also aggravated with DMK keeping tight lipped on the next alliance. Even State Congress leaders are also not happy with the with the state of affair.
However, with new re-alignment, the Congress Party is hopeful to garner new partners for the upcoming election as the third front is looking a distant dream and left is increasingly looking jittery at the moment.#
