Presiding over the summit, Lok Sabha Speaker Smt. Sumitra Mahajan laid emphasis on quality of products of micro and small industries saying that it would enhance prestige of the state as well as the country. She said that micro industries provide employment to maximum people in minimum cost. Union Minister for Micro and Small Industries Kalraj Mishra announced to open 30 to 40 incubation centres to train entrepreneurs in the state and a tool room costing Rs. 150 crore. Mr. Mishra informed that a new policy is being framed for micro, small and medium enterprises under which special attention will be paid to entrepreneurship development and skill development.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that micro, small and medium industries will be freed from unnecessary laws. A scheme will be implemented in the state for filing only one self-declared return by industrialists and businessmen in the state. Time-limit will be prescribed for depositing licence registration fee. System of only one register will be implemented in the state in place of 61 registers under 16 labour laws. Similarly, only 2 returns will be filled in place of 13 returns. Micro industries will be exempted from provisions of 9 labour laws.
Industries Minister Smt. Yashodhara Raje Scindia said that there are immense opportunities in the state for micro and small industries. She said that the state government will bear the responsibility of branding and marketing of products of small entrepreneurs of the state.
Many Industrial organisations including MP Federation of Commerce and Industries, AIMPA MP, MP Small Industry Sangh are welcoming these steps taken by government for welfare of MSMEs in Madhya Pradesh. (IPA)

BHOPAL: The first day of Global Investors Summit in Indore got underway on October 8 with convention of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME). Union Minister for Micro and Small Industries Kalraj Mishra inaugurated Convention of MSMEs. It was the second time in Madhya Pradesh when the first day of Global Investors Summit organized convention of MSMEs. MSMEs feared about their market and status when the MP government invited large and multinational companies to invest in the state. The state government organised a convention of MSMEs first and gave many facilities to them. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan announced the constitution of a separate ministry for MSMEs and Laghu Udyog Samvardhan Board to be headed by the Chief Minister. It is a positive step of government. To give a boost to the medium and small industries in the state.
