Binoy Viswam - 2020-07-30 11:09
In the advancement of ultra-right politics propaganda plays a crucial role. The history of fascism has paraded innumerable instances of it. The Indian face of fascism represented by RSS controlled BJP has excelled the art in a comparatively short span of time. They believe that through propaganda they could turn black into white and false into truth. Doordarshan, our own national channel, is under constant pressure to follow the suit.

Sushil Kutty - 2020-07-30 09:57
The Modi Government’s new National Education Policy (NEP) for the children and youth of India is dressed in RSS khaki with shades of the intent of a multitude of saffron organizations hued into it. Don’t be surprised if India becomes ‘Bharat’ in more ways than one in a couple of decades from now, especially if the BJP continues to hold its own at the Centre under this and other BJP Prime Ministers.

NEW EDUCATION POLICY SUFFERS FROM ‘BACK FOCUS ERROR’

CORRECTIONS AND READJUSTMENTS HAVE TO BE EMPIRICAL
Gyan Pathak - 2020-07-30 09:54
‘Education is that which liberates’, says the core Indian philosophy of education in Sanskrit, and the ‘basic purpose of education is to make the mind creative and analytical’ says the Greek philosopher Plato. The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, in place of focusing on such core philosophies, focused at infinity creating ‘back focus error’ which needs to be corrected or readjusted for the ‘right focus’ if at all we do not want to make humans, mere slaves and tools, non-creative or even destructive, non-analytic or synthetic. Policies must not be based on mere ideas, they must be empirical.
