FRESH ELECTIONS CALL GETS LOUDER IN BRITAIN

CORBYN SAYS DIVIDED TORIES UNFIT TO RULE
Lamiat Sabin - 2019-05-26 05:21
The Tories faced mounting calls for a general election on Friday after Prime Minister Theresa May announced her resignation. Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn called for an “immediate” general election and said Ms May appeared to have accepted that “she cannot govern and nor can her divided and disintegrating party.”

LALU YADAV’S RJD IS VICTIM OF ALIENATION OF SUPPORT BASE

STILL, NDA’S SWEEP IN BIHAR IS PERPLEXING
Arun Srivastava - 2019-05-26 05:17
Muslim, Yadav and dalit combination failed miserably to repeat the magic of 2015 assembly election and stop the juggernaut of BJP in Bihar. What was really intriguing this combination even could not reinforce the performance of the SP-BSP in Uttar Pradesh. Even in 2014 Lok Sabha elections the family members of the Samajwadi patriarch, Mul;ayam Singh Yadav had won seven seats. Of the 351seats that NDA won these two states contributed around 100 seats.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The most significant development since the declaration of election results in Kerala has been the rejection by the CPI(M) state secretariat of chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s stand on Sabarimala issue.

BJP DETERMINED TO CAPTURE GOVT IN BENGAL

ANTI-MAMATA STAND DRIVES CPI(M) CADRES TO SAFFRONS
Barun Das Gupta - 2019-05-26 05:12
The result of the Lok Sabha poll in West Bengal is no different from the general trend seen in the country. Even so, the spectacular gains made by the BJP have taken everyone by surprise. It was expected that the BJP would get around seven to ten seats. But actually its tally has gone nine times up from two to eighteen. It has already started breathing down the neck of the TMC. With rumours of large-scale desertion from the party to the BJP in the air, people are wondering how long the TMC government will last.

OPPOSITION CHARGE ON VVPAT BASED ON GAPS IN UNDERSTANDING
K Raveendran - 2019-05-26 05:09
The opposition parties stand discredited over their stand on VVPAT verification of EVMs. In the lethal power of Modi’s strike they have lost their faculty of speech; so it will take them a few therapies to regain their voice. That must explain their silence now.

NARENDRA MODI IS NOW TALLER THAN BJP

STRONG LEADER APPEAL HAS CLICKED WITH INDIANS
Harihar Swarup - 2019-05-26 05:06
Narendra Modi has performed a believable act. Nobody thought the BJP will cross 300 mark. Before the votes were cast for 2019 Lok Sabha election, the general speculation was that the BJP may emerge as a single largest party and an unstable coalition will be formed, implying that India will become weak and vulnerable. That danger has now been warded off and, irrespective of politics; India will have a rock-like stable government. That is, perhaps, the biggest achievement of this election. Also in the poll-2019 people voted on the name of Modi and nobody took name of the BJP. One may say that Modi has grown taller than the party.

MODI SHOULD REALLY WORK FOR “SABKA VIKAS”

HE SHOULD MAKE FULL USE OF THIS OPPORTUNITY
Sushil Kutty - 2019-05-24 11:19
Should anything change post-May 23? Narendra Modi dropped the ‘Chowkidar’ from his twitter handle and urged others to do the same. ‘Chowkidar’s expiry date coincided with Modi’s return to power. The world will once again watch Modi take oath as India’s Prime Minister and, let’s face it, a Prime Minister can become a ‘chowkidar’, but a chowkidar cannot become Prime Minister!

MADHYA PRADESH BJP PITCHING FOR KAMAL NATH’S DISMISSAL

STATE LEADERS LOBBYING WITH CENTRAL BOSSES
L S Herdenia - 2019-05-24 11:17
BHOPAL: After obtaining massive mandate for the Lok Sabha will Prime Minister Narendra Modi try to destabilise Congress ministry in Madhya Pradesh? Even if Modi has no desire to do so he will be pressurised by the Madhya Pradesh BJP leaders who seem to be in a hurry to recapture power which they lost in November 2018. The Congress ministry headed by Kamal Nath is two short of majority in the state assembly. The Congress strength is 114 in the house of 230. The ministry enjoys support of BSP, SP and independent members.

WORKERS WILL HAVE A TOUGH TIME IN MODI’S SECOND TERM

TRADE UNIONS MUST FIGHT UNITEDLY TO REALISE THEIR DEMANDS
B. Sivaraman - 2019-05-24 11:13
Mein…mein…mein…mein—No, that wasn’t any bleating of the sheep. Rather, it was the self-centric vainglorious laurels a victorious leader was heaping on himself at his victory rally. But Modi’s victory this time is a questionable one that has all the hallmarks of a manufactured and manipulated victory. Modi magic 2.0 looks much more unreal. And magics and miracles do turn out to be curses in politics.

MODI GOT FULL ADVANTAGE OF THE MOOD IN 2019 POLL
Anjan Roy - 2019-05-24 11:10
Demonetisation had hurt the interests of lowest and the weakest, GST had disrupted all business and industry, more particularly the small and tiny sectors, farmers’ had been distressed to led them to suicides, Raffale aircraft purchase had been a massive scam, Balacote air strike was a false claim.
