Ashis Biswas - 2023-12-06 12:06
In an ironic reversal of their assigned roles, regional Congress leaders are currently handling a scathing political attack on their party by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) with greater confidence than their supposedly exalted High command Delhi-based leadership, post recent Assembly elections.

CONGRESS HAS PERFORMED MUCH BETTER IN STATE POLLS COMPARED TO 2019

INDIA CONSTITUENTS HAVE TO GET THEIR ACT TOGETER TO DEFEAT BJP IN 2024
Dipankar Bhattacharya - 2023-12-05 12:00
The outcome of the five Assembly elections held in November has proved almost all opinion polls and ground reports wrong. Even the few exit polls that predicted a thumping BJP victory in Madhya Pradesh gave the Congress a comfortable majority in neighbouring Chhattisgarh. The clean BJP sweep of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh has therefore come as a major surprise after the BJP's recent losses in Himachal Pradesh and Karnataka and given the signs of a popular yearning for change in Madhya Pradesh after eighteen years of BJP rule and no such visible anti-incumbency against the Congress governments of Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan.

The decline of vote share of BJP from 2019 was 5.17 per cent, out of which 0.73 per cent went to the Congress and 4.44 per cent went to the other parties.

ZPM SWEEPING ASSEMBLY POLLS IN MIZORAM IS A VERDICT AGAINST CORRUPTION UNDER MNF

CHIEF MINISTER ELECT LALDUHOMA IS YET TO TAKE A POSITION ON ALIGNING WITH BJP OR INDIA
Tirthankar Mitra - 2023-12-05 10:47
Zoram People's Movement (ZPM)'s sweeping victory in Mizoram bins the proverbial belief that Indian politics has little space for the young gun. Of course, there are exceptions when mint-fresh political parties are known to end the regime of an established political outfit.

ARE THE UNIFORMS OF INDIAN NAVY PERSONNEL BEING CHANGED TO SUIT THE BJP

PRIME MINISTER’S REMARK AT NAVY DAY CELEBRATIONS HAS HINTED THE POSSIBILITY
Sushil Kutty - 2023-12-05 10:44
The first thing Prime Minister Narendra Modi did after cornering three states in the ‘Hindi heartland’ was to address Indian Navy personnel on Navy Day and proclaim that ranks in the Indian Navy will be renamed so that the ranks reflected Indian culture. The uniforms of sailors and officers of the Indian Navy will also display the legacy of Shivaji Maharaj. Question is, why is the Prime Minister of India bent on changing “everything-India” to suit his and the Bharatiya Janata Party’s idea of India?
