Tairah Firdous - 2013-02-16 18:08

Kashmir, the most militarised zone in the world, is again under siege and curfew. This time because India woke up to a new morning by hanging Afzal Guru to death. Guru, a fruit seller, was convicted eight years ago for his role in the attack on Indian Parliament in 2001, the charges Guru always denied.

Harihar Swarup - 2013-02-16 18:01

ILO FOCUSING ON INDIA’S WORKERS

SHIFT IN INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS URGED
Sankar Ray - 2013-02-15 11:01
Never in the past did the International Labour Organisation do what it is doing now — paying special attention to the two-day strike of 470 million blue and white colour workers in India on 20 and 21 February. Among the reasons are participation of all central trade unions such as the Indian National Trade Union Congress, Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh, All India Trade Union Congress, Hind Mazdoor Sabha and Centre of Indian Trade Unions, the five largest TU centres and the worrisome state of industrial relations that aggravated the plight of the toiling masses.
