New Delhi: H5 strains of Avian Influenza have been confirmed in the poultry samples collected from Government Duck Farm, R.K. Nagar, Agartala, Tripura.

The Union Minister of State for Textiles, Smt. Panabaaka Lakshmi has discussed the modalities for a Memorandum of Understanding on Wool Cooperation with Dr. Mike Kelly, Parliamentary Secretary for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry in Canberra, Australia yesterday.

Shri Anand Sharma, Union Minister of Commerce & Industry and Mr. Mustapa Mohamed, Minister for International Trade & Industry, Malaysia, signed the India-Malaysia Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Agreement (CECA) in the presence of Malaysian Prime Minister, Mr. Mohd Najib Razak at Putrajaya in Kuala Lumpur today. The Agreement will come into effect on 1st July 2011 and the first review will be held within a year of coming into force.

New Delhi: The Budget Session, 2011 of Parliament (7th Session of the Fifteenth Lok Sabha and the 222nd Session of the Rajya Sabha) is scheduled to commence on Monday, the 21st of February, 2011 and subject to exigencies of Government Business, the Session will conclude on Thursday, the 21st of April , 2011.

New Delhi: The Ministry of Panchayati Raj has asked the States to enhance the Capacity Building & Training (CB&T) in Panchayats across the rural areas of the country. In a letter the Minisstry has directed that the funds earmarked for this purpose must be fully utilized.
