Directors saw as the main challenges the need to provide employment opportunities for a young and growing labor force, and the steadfast implementation of reforms to diversify the economy and reduce the high dependence on oil revenue.

An International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission led by Mr. Alejandro Santos visited Santo Domingo during February 1-14 to conduct discussions under the fifth review of the Stand-By Arrangement (SBA), which was approved by the IMF Executive Board in November 2009. The mission met with Vice-President Rafael Alburquerque, as well as members of the Economic and Social Cabinets, senior government officials, and representatives of the international community.

New Delhi: Experts called for necessary amendments in the Hindu Marriage Act to ensure protection to the rights of the victims of failed marriages, particularly those relating to the non-resident Indians (NRIs) and Indians settled abroad.

An International Monetary Fund (IMF) staff mission, led by Mr. Nadeem Ilahi, visited Baku on February 7-15, 2011. The mission met with senior government officials and representatives of the private sector, civil society and the diplomatic community, and the discussion paved the ground for the 2011 Article IV consultation, expected in the second half of 2011.
