CII believes in the US’s inherent strengths—its knowledge base, productive manpower, capacity for innovation, R&D capabilities—these are the true testament of the country’s enduring and foundational economic strengths.

The political divide between forces wanting to re-make America to compete globally in today’s world and those harking to the past and wanting to cut budget and government to size, leaves little room for optimism over President Barack Obama’s “Winning the Future” agenda, he unfolded in an highly applauded State of Union address to Congress on January 25.

The Meeting was organized by the Ministries of Social Justice & Empowerment, Urban Poverty Alleviation and Urban Development.

Executive Directors of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) welcomed Algeria’s good economic performance supported by the authorities’ prudent fiscal and monetary policies and the favorable external environment. Directors noted that notwithstanding the favorable developments, the country faces important challenges of preserving macroeconomic stability, restoring fiscal prudence and diversifying the economy. They encouraged the authorities to build on the progress thus far.
