TEN YEARS OF NARENDRA MODI’S BIG HYPE ‘MAKE IN INDIA’ IS A STORY OF TOTAL FAILURE

FACTORIES GROWTH SLIPPED TO 2.8 PERCENT IN MODI ERA COMPARED TO 6.2 PER CENT DURING UPA REGIME
Girish Linganna - 2023-09-27 13:15
The conspicuous lack of fanfare in the run-up to this significant tenth anniversary could suggest that the government acknowledges that extravagant public relations efforts are no longer, effective in concealing the alarming decline of the manufacturing sector.

Harihar Swarup - 2023-09-27 12:27
He is called the ‘Moon man of India’. Mylswamy Annadurai played a pivotal role in developing the spacecraft for Chandrayaan-1, India’s first lunar mission. A Padma Shri awardee, he was the programme director of not just of Chandrayaan-1, but also Chandrayaan-2 and the Mars Orbiter Mission. He was with the Indian Space Research organization (ISRO) for 36 years and was also the director of the U.R. Rao Satellite Centre in Bengaluru.

CONGRESS NEEDS TO START TALKS WITH SP ON SEAT SHARING IMMEDIATELY

PACT IN STATES ELECTION NOW COULD CLEAR ROADBLOCK IN UTTAR PRADESH
Dr. Gyan Pathak - 2023-09-27 11:52
Congress is in dominant position in the three election bound states of the Hindi belt – Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh. Hence, the party may decide not to initiate seat sharing talks with Samajwadi Party (SP), which has only marginal presence in Madhya Pradesh, while very little presence in Rajasthan, and insignificant presence in Chhattisgarh. However, it would be a grave political mistake impacting political prospect of the Congress in the long run, especially during Lok Sabha election 2024 in Uttar Pradesh, where SP has dominant position.

UNCERTAINTY OVER CHIEF MINISTER CHOUHAN’S FUTURE MAY AFFECT BJP FORTUNES IN MADHYA PRADESH

ENTRY OF HIGH PROFILE MINISTERS FOR ASSEMBLY POLL HAS INTENSIFIED FACTIONAL BICKERINGS
Sushil Kutty - 2023-09-27 11:47
To be intuitive is not a criteria to understand what’s troubling the Bharatiya Janata Party as it gets set for the next set of assembly elections including in Madhya Pradesh, where the party has released its second list of 39 candidates. There’s a message in the list, for all those who favour the BJP: Don’t play favourites because what if the BJP loses? Remember, the BJP had lost to the Congress in 2018 before eventually engineering a takeover. This time round, the chances of losing the elections are brighter because of the severe case of multiple anti-incumbency.

RIFT BETWEEN KPCC CHIEF, LEADER OF OPPOSITION WIDENING
P. Sreekumaran - 2023-09-27 11:41
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The euphoria generated by the spectacular victory the Congress scored in the Puthuppally assembly constituency by-election has all but evaporated.

DADASAHEB PHALKE AWARD WINNER WAHEEDA REHMAN IS AN ACTRESS WITH GRACE AND DIGNITY

IT WAS A GOOD COINCIDENCE THAT SHE WAS HONOURED ON BIRTH CENTENARY DAY OF DEV ANAND
Tirthankar Mitra - 2023-09-27 11:31
If a week is a long time in politics, six decades and few years more can be stated to be too long a timespan for an inarguably thespian to be bestowed with a lifetime achievement award. But epitome of grace that Waheeda Rehman is, she will never voice a breath of complaint on being chosen to be the recipient of Dadasaheb Phalke Award, the nation's highest filmhonour so late at the age of 85.

NARENDRA MODI EXPRESSING DEEP CONCERN ABOUT WOMEN IS MISLEADING

DESPITE NARI SHAKTI VANDAN CLAIM, LITTLE SPACE FOR WOMEN IN BJP
Dr. Gyan Pathak - 2023-09-26 12:10
PM Narendra Modi has been expressing deep concern for women in every election rally in the country after the passage of Women’s Reservation Bill in the Parliament of India with near unanimity, barring only two AIMIM members who opposed it in the Lok Sabha. However, the concern he expresses does not reflect in giving BJP’s tickets to women to contest elections or even in the organizational structure of the party. Therefore, his concern is misleading, in contrast to his words of caution to women not to be “misled” by the Opposition’s support for the Bill.

BJP’S SECOND LIST FOR MADHYA PRADESH POLLS SIGNALS THAT CM SEAT IS OPEN

SHIVRAJ SINGH CHOUHAN IS CORNERED BY HIS CHALLENGERS WITH BIG PARTY CLOUT
L S Herdenia - 2023-09-26 12:00
BHOPAL: In a surprise and dramatic move, the BJP shifted MPs including three Union Ministers, asking them to contest for the Vidhan Sabha in Madhya Pradesh in the coming polls. Observers feel that this move has twin objectives. The party feels that this time it is on the shaky ground and thus wanted to field such candidates whose victory is regarded as hundred percent certain. Secondly if it has to change the Chief Minister, experienced leader is available for the post. It is significant that this dramatic change was made when the Prime Minister Narendra Modi departed from Bhopal after addressing poll rallies.

RSS TO PLAY KEY ROLE IN STRATEGISING BJP POLICY FOR 2024 LOK SABHA POLLS

CORE COMMITTEE WORKING ON A FRESH NARRATIVE TO CHALLENGE INDIA AND RAHUL GANDHI
Arun Srivastava - 2023-09-26 11:55
Not the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, instead the RSS chief Mogan Bhagwat would leadplay the key role from behind to lead the saffron brigade to the 2024 Lok Sabha electoral battle. This is a major departure from the old practice when RSS led by his predecessors used to provide electoral wherewithal to the BJP and deploy the cadres and pracharaks for the victory of its political outfits, Jan Sangh or BJP.
