BJP’S DUPLICITY ON WOMEN’S BILL WILL BE APPARENT AT THE TIME OF GIVING TICKETS FOR LS POLLS

JUST DRUM BEATING BY PARTY MP’S AND LEADERS WILL BRING RELIEF TO WOMEN
Sushil Kutty - 2023-09-22 12:16
Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s statement that only a strong government made possible 33 percent women's reservation has few takers. The reality is, but for the fact that the Bharatiya Janata Party and the RSS wanted another Modi term to fulfill the Sangh Parivar agenda, the Modi government may not have rolled out the ‘Naari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam’ in such haste with a special session of Parliament to boot.

RSS PUSHED MODI GOVT TO PASS WOMEN’S RESERVATION BILL BEFORE 2024 POLLS

SANGH PARIVAR IS FOCUSING ON PROGRAMMES TO WOO 50 PER CENT OF ELECTORATE
Arun Srivastava - 2023-09-22 12:07
Former Congress President Sonia Gandhi has every reason to feel elated at the introduction of the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam, or Women’s Reservation Bill in parliament by Narendra Modi government, but the truth is the bill would not have seen the day-light if the Joint general secretary of RSS Manmohan Vaidya would not have expressed his disgust to the apathetic attitude of Prime Minister Narendra Modi towards women’s problems, pulled him up for not reaching out to them and held him responsible for not doing enough for the women. PM was virtually forced by the RSS to go ahead before the Lok Sabha polls to which the PM complied and now the bill has been passed by both houses of Parliament in its special session.

THREE WEEKS AHEAD OF DURGA PUJA FESTIVAL IN BENGAL, POTTERS ARE BUSY GIVING SHAPE TO THE IDOL

KUMARTULI AREA OF NORTH KOLKATA IS WITNESS TO CHANGING APPROACH TO IMAGE OF DURGA
Devasis Chattopadhyay - 2023-09-22 12:02
At this time of year, all roads in Kolkata lead to Kumartuli in the northern part of the city’s old quarters. It’s where Bengal's most beloved goddess, Durga, is taking on her earthly avatar as potters work round the clock to bring her to life. In about four weeks, on October 20, the city will erupt in glittering festivities to celebrate the homecoming of the ten-armed warrior goddess. For four days after that, everything in Kolkata will revolve around Ma Durga, the celebrations getting grander, more imaginative and more extravagant every year.

BJP COULD LAND IN TROUBLE IN 2024 ELECTION ON WOMEN’S RESERVATION

INDIA FRONT TO TRY ITS BEST TO EXPOSE ANOTHER JUMLA FOR PROPAGANDA
Dr. Gyan Pathak - 2023-09-22 11:33
“Women’s Reservation” has become the most politically correct terminology of the day, as we have seen within the Parliament of India, and have been seeing outside in the public. However, the question is which political party or alliance will derive maximum benefit out of the historical event of passage of the Women’s Reservation Bill in the Parliament of India, especially in the forthcoming Lok Sabha election 2024?

IT WAS CPI LOK SABHA MEMBER GEETA MUKHERJEE WHO PIONEERED WOMEN’S BILL

AFTER ITS PASSING, THE PRESENT MP’S SHOULD PAY RESPECT TO HER MEMORY
Binoy Viswam - 2023-09-21 10:48
After a very long wait, the Women’s Reservation Bill has been passed by the Parliament. Everyone who knows about the history of the struggle for the enactment of the Women’s Reservation Bill would think about Comrade Geeta Mukherjee at this moment of victory. She was the unforgettable communist leader and a consistent fighter for women’s rights who took the passing of the women's bill as a life mission. She was a true communist who believed that the tasks of the Indian revolution could not be fulfilled without the liberation of the women of the country. Thirty-three per cent participation of women in the Parliament and state legislatures is only the first step in that direction. Even for that first step to be accomplished, the democratic forces of the country had to wage consistent battles for decades. Passing the bill would be an impetus for the future struggles of women's organisations and other democratic forces.

Sushil Kutty - 2023-09-21 10:45
The international gunning for Narendra Modi is back in fashion. Western media has found in Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau the man to repaint Modi into a corner after 10 years of being in the global spotlight. Many in the West media are convinced this time Modi will not escape retribution notwithstanding India’s global clout and geopolitical importance, which are contributing factors that catapulted Modi to international stardom.

WOMEN’S RESERVATION BILL ADOPTED BUT DELIBERATELY DELAYED INDEFINITELY

TRUE EMPOWERMENT WILL BE A REALITY WHEN PARTICIPATION IN DECISION MAKING TAKES PLACE
Subhashini Ali - 2023-09-21 10:38
The long-awaited passage of the Women’s Reservation Bill after a long wait of 27 years has not been an occasion for rejoicing as it should have been. For all these years, successive governments have done all they could to kill it and consign it to oblivion and it is only the Left parties and sections of the women’s movement, including AIDWA, who have consistently struggled, campaigned and fought to keep it alive.
