Andhra Pradesh plunged into a fresh political crisis with resignations of 93 MLAs from the state legislature and an MP from the parliament of India in protest against the Centre's decision to carve out a separate Telangana state and inviting TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao to Delhi to discuss the next step in the formation of separate Telengana. Among the legislator resigned 53 were from Congress, 30 from TDP including one MP and 11 from Praja Rajyam.

Food inflation rises to a high 19.05 per cent

New Delhi: Rising prices of potatoes, onions and pulses pushed food inflation to a high of 19.05 per cent in the fourth week of November, according to review of wholesale prices for primary articles and fuel, power, light & lubricants in India for the week ended 28th November 2009 released today. It was 17.47 per cent for the week ended 21st November.
