CHOKSI CHALLENGES THE MIGHT OF INDIAN NATION TO GET HIMSELF STRUCK OFF RED LIST

CBI GIVES IN SHAMELESSLY TO MANEUVRES OF HIGHLY PROFESSIONAL LEGAL AGENCIES
K Raveendran - 2023-03-22 14:00
Post-1947, life in jail during independence struggle was considered a decoration for any politician or even common citizen. After Indira Gandhi’s Emergency, it was a jail term during the dark days that recognized one’s political mettle. During Modi’s era, the attribute of a good opposition politician is a raid by Enforcement Directorate or the CBI. While these agencies make a daily celebration of their latest victim, the likes of Rahul Gandhi, P Chidambaram, Sharad Pawar, and now Tejashwi Yadav, a prized catch who looted the country left, right and centre has slipped away. Diamantaire Mehul ChoksI has got himself struck off the Red List of Interpol and hopes to be a free bird again, except probably in the Indian skies, thanks to the ineptitude of CBI. Probably because there is no guarantee that the so-called premier investigative agency would not mess up things further.

TIME IS RIPE FOR REFORMING THE WAYS FOR PARLIAMENT’S SMOOTH FUNCTIONING

PARALYSING BOTH THE HOUSES FOR LONG DOES NOT SERVE THE INTERESTS OF DEMOCRACY
Kalyani Shankar - 2023-03-21 11:28
Just as we need reforms in many other areas, Parliament needs reforms urgently. Right now, both Houses remain paralysed. The Opposition is looking for public and media attention to embarrass the Government, while the Government is also in an aggressive mood.. The ruling party members are not allowing the Parliament to function. The stalemate is continuing in the second week also.

MAMATA TAKING DIRECT CHARGE OF TRINAMOOL AFFAIRS IN BIRBHUM DISTRICT INDICATES CRACKS IN PARTY UNIT

BASE LEVEL TMC WORKERS DEPENDING ON THE CM IMAGE TO BALE THEM OUT IN PANCHAYAT POLLS
Tirthankar Mitra - 2023-03-21 10:45
Many were surprised in the state though no eyebrows were raised in Trinamool Congress after chief minister and party supremo Mamata Banerjee took charge of Birbhum unit of her party thereby unwittingly revealing an organisational weakness. For after Anubrata Mondal heading the district unit went behind the bars in a cattle smuggling case when ED arrested him, the chief minister had set up a core committee to run the local organization of this red earth district.

RAHUL GANDHI HAS TO DO QUICK FOLLOWUP ON HIS GAINS FROM BHARAT JODO YATRA

THE CONGRESS MP HAS LITTLE TIME TO LOSE IF HE WANTS TO TAKE ON NARENDRA MODI
Sushil Kutty - 2023-03-21 10:41
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is a late bloomer. That said, he has been a Member of Parliament several times over and, therefore, cannot be reduced to a Johnny-come-lately. And after Amethi, he wasn’t a stranger to the voters of Wayanad. But it is hardly likely that Rahul Gandhi will retrace his steps to Amethi, the constituency that rejected him but was also a pocket borough of the Gandhi family for the longest of time.

NEW CRISES AND UNFULFILLED OLD PROMISES MAKE THEM RESTIVE AGAIN
Dr. Gyan Pathak - 2023-03-21 10:37

RSS NATIONAL MEET HAS TAKEN FIRM POSITION AGAINST RAHUL GANDHI

PRATINIDHI SABHA DELEGATES SEE CONGRESS MP AS THE BIGGEST ENEMY
Arun Srivastava - 2023-03-21 10:34
After the recent meeting of the RSS’s Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha (ABPS) there is no ambiguity now that Narendra Modi or his ministerial colleagues or even the BJP leaders hardening their stand against Rahul Gandhi and seeking his apology are being ordained at the behest of the RSS. The one liner comment from the home minister Amit Shah is the only dissenting narration. Home minister Amit Shah said to allow the parliament function the government was ready to talk to opposition to end the logjam. He even said; “the government was ready to go “two steps ahead” to resolve the standoff if the Opposition took “two steps forward”.

FAILURE OF DRUG REGULATOR TO ENSURE QUALITY MEDICINES

M.Y. Siddiqui - 2023-03-21 05:38
Recent deaths in Gambia, Uzbekistan and the USA, caused by toxic and contaminated medicines manufactured in and exported by India, has put a question mark on the oversight, efficacy and quality control mechanism of the drugs regulator, the Central Drugs Standard Control 0rganisation (CDSCO). Be it the quality control of both branded and generic medicines, their pricing, rampant manufacturing and marketing of spurious drugs across the country, collusion of National Medical Commission (NMC) and CDSCO, thriving of drug mafia impacting diagnostics, prescriptive medicines, commercialization of healthcare system as a whole are symptomatic of the malaise of all round failure of both the regulators, resulting in fleecing of the people. Medical doctors in private corporate hospitals working on periodic target basis for both diagnostic and prescriptive medicines, in case of failing to meet the target, are fired instantly, is yet another scam indicating crass commercialization and high costs of healthcare, happening with the connivance of the regulators.
