MODI DERIDING ‘INDIA’ BETRAYS DESIGN TO HUMILIATE THE OPPOSITION

RSS WORRIED THAT PM’S ARROGANCE MAY ALIENATE NATIONALIST CITIZENS
Arun Srivastava - 2023-07-26 16:50
Prime Minister Narendra Modi deriding and insulting the united opposition front, INDIA, and drawing parallels with the likes of the erstwhile British East India Company, the outlawed outfit Indian Mujahideen and the Popular Front of India — has certainly not come as a shock. Expecting PM Modi to speak respectfully of the political opposition is tantamount to living in a fool’s paradise. By lampooning INDIA, the acronym of Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance, and describing it as the most directionless tie-up the country had ever seen, he was simply accomplishing the RSS mission of downplaying the rising oppositional momentum.

POLITICAL PARTIES UNDER RIGHT TO INFORMATION ACT WILL REMAIN AN UNREALISABLE DREAM

LAWS CANNOT BE SUBSTITUTE FOR MORALITY, ETHICS OR DEMOCRATIC PRINCIPLES
K Raveendran - 2023-07-26 16:40
It would be an ideal situation if political parties are brought under the purview of the rights to information (RTI) Act as it would introduce complete transparency in the functioning of the parties. But unfortunately, many ideal situations are never practical and as such remain unattainable. The demand by the Association for Democratic Reforms and others as well as the order passed by the Central Information Commission for the inclusion of political parties within the ambit of RTI Actwill in all probability remain unfulfilled.

MSME SECTOR IN INDIA CONTINUES ITS STRUGGLE AMIDST ODDS

DESPITE TALL CLAIMS, REVIVAL PACKAGES AND SUPPORT ARE INADEQUATE
Dr. Gyan Pathak - 2023-07-26 16:02
There is no end in sight to the woes of the MSMEs in India, that suddenly started worsening with the sudden announcement of demonetization on November 8, 2016 by PM Narendra Modi, further exacerbated by introduction of GST next year from July 1, 2017, and intensified with lockdown of the country from March 24, 2020, and all without preparation for the consequent eventualities. Thousands of MSMEs were forced to shut down, rendered majority of them unviable, and most are still struggling to survive. Lakhs of jobs simply vanished, and the era of joblessness that began in 2016 continues with record unemployment rates that has reached 8.4 per cent in July 2023.
