SUPREME COURT HAS A GREATER ROLE TO SAVE JOSHIMATH

MAN MADE DISATER MUST NOT BE ALLOWED TO PASS AS NATURAL
Dr. Gyan Pathak - 2023-01-12 11:35
Joshimath has been sinking for months, but could grab attention of the governments at the Centre and the State only recently that too after the subsidence started dangerously manifesting itself. Warnings served in 1976, 2001, and 2013 were grossly ignored. Human greed continued to explore the natural resources hastening the sinking not only of the holy city of Joshimath but the entire mountain range that houses it and a host of other towns and villages.

RAHUL GANDHI’S YATRA SUCCESS TRIGGERS IDEOLOGICAL WAR WITHIN SANGH PARIVAR

RSS CHIEF MOHAN BHAGWAT JUSTIFIES AGGRESSIVE HINDUS AS AGAINST MODI’S MUSLIM OUTREACH
Sushil Kutty - 2023-01-11 11:38
It’s Kurukshetra. And Mahabharata. Bharat Jodo yatri Rahul Gandhi alleges the RSS are “21st Century Kauravas in khaki half pants”. And RSS Chief Mohan Mohan Bhagwat says Hindus are not finished with the “1000-year war with foreign invaders, foreign aggressions, foreign influences and foreign conspiracies.” The 21st century war is political, with Rahul Gandhi positioning the RSS/BJP as the Kauravas, and leaving it to the people’s imagination as to who’s the Pandava?

ECONOMIC SLOWDOWN TO HAUNT INDIA THE NEXT TWO YEARS

RISE IN EXTREEM POVERTY WILL BE A MAJOR CONCERN
Dr. Gyan Pathak - 2023-01-11 11:35
India would be going downhill for the next two years, if Global Economic Prospect just released by the World Bank is of any indication. GDPs for 2023and 2024 have been revised down to 6.6 per cent and 6.1 per cent respectively, which are below 0.5 and 0.4 per cent compared to its earlier estimates made in June 2022. Obviously, it would push up the poverty level, especially the extreme poverty level in the country, which would remain a major concern, especially at a time of rising joblessness.

PANICKY RSS TAKING UP CRASH PROGRAMMES TO COMBAT RAHUL GANDHI’S YATRA IMPACT

FOR THE CONGRESS, THE BJY SHOULD HERALD THE BEGINNING OF A NEW NARRATIVE
Arun Srivastava - 2023-01-11 11:33
After a fortnight, the Bharat Jodo Yatra led by Rahul Gandhi would culminate with the national flag hoisting in Srinagar. But this finish would be purely an allegory. The real political Yatra (journey) of Rahul will begin after this stage.

BJP BATS FOR HINDUS WHILE TRINAMOOL CONGRESS BACKS CHRISTIANS AND TRIBALS
Ashis Biswas - 2023-01-10 12:29
With most major parties adopting an ethnicity-based approach in their pre-poll campaigning, voting in the coming Assembly elections in Meghalaya could be sharply polarised, according to observers. Intriguingly, such a trend may be less noticeable in Tripura.
