DIVISIVE POLITICS ON UNIFORM CIVIL CODE HAS RISEN ITS HEAD AGAIN

CONTRARY TO CENTRE’S CLAIM, UCC NOW WOULD HURT NATIONAL UNITY
Dr. Gyan Pathak - 2023-06-15 12:04
With issuance of notification by the Central Law Commission of India on June 14, 2023 soliciting views from the public and recognized religious organisations on Uniform Civil Code, the divisive politics of BJP-RSS clan has risen its head again, as usual, ahead of Lok Sabha elections 2024. Since the issue has always been seen sharply dividing all religious communities in the entire country, it is a bad omen for the country at a time when the very democracy has been subjugated by the Hindutva communal politics.

LATEST KILLINGS IN MANIPUR SIGNAL TOTAL FAILURE OF AMIT SHAH’S EFFORTS

BOTH CENTRE AND BJP LED STATE GOVT HAVE LOST CONTROL OVER THE SITUATION
Sushil Kutty - 2023-06-15 12:01
One thing is getting certain and certain as we get closer and closer to the general elections 2024. That is, the BJP will go to any extent to win elections. Who can forget the 2019 elections on the heels of the Balakote airstrikes; which had at its source, a bloody militant attack that left over 40 soldiers killed? And, now, the senseless Manipur killings. Of course, there wouldn’t be a surgical/air strike into Myanmar because the Manipur elections are over and done with, but the suspected “militants” have their tails up, brazenly alleging that they had the BJP’s back!

NARENDRA MODI GOVT’S MSP FOR KHARIF SEASON IS NEITHER FAIR NOR REMUNERATIVE

THE NEED OF THE HOUR IS TO CONDUCT JOINT STRUGGLE FOR ENSURING LEGAL GUARANTEE OF MSP
Prakash Karat - 2023-06-15 10:58
The BJP-led union government announced the minimum support prices (MSP) for the Kharif Season 2023-24 on June 7, 2023 claiming that “the move is to ensure remunerative prices to growers for their produce and to encourage crop diversification”. The MSP announced is neither fair nor remunerative; it belies the hopes of the farmers and inflicts huge losses in their incomes. Let alone encouraging crop diversification, it discourages farmers from investing in agriculture.

CPI(M)-ISF ALLIANCE IN BENGAL PANCHAYAT ELECTIONS ANGERS THE STATE CONGRESS

TOTAL LEFT-CONGRESS UNITY IS NOW RULED OUT LEADING TO SPLIT IN ANTI-TMC VOTES
Tirthankar Mitra - 2023-06-15 10:56
At a time when scams galore including cash for teaching jobs, coal and cattle smuggling is dogging Trinamool Congress, it has been gifted a brownie point in the form of an alliance between Left and Indian Secular Front before the panchayat elections in West Bengal. The TMC stands to gain from an almost inevitable division of Opposition votes as Congress, an electoral ally of the Left Front in the rural polls having nothing to do with this new alliance.
