POLITICAL OUTCOME FROM COMMUNAL CAULDRON MAY NOT FAVOUR BJP

RISE OF CASTE ASPIRATIONS TO INFLUENCE GENERAL ELECTION 2024
Dr. Gyan Pathak - 2023-05-31 12:05
BJP has broken its legs in Karnataka assembly polls when it fell into the pitfalls of majority politics. The party, including the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, left no stone unturned to polarize Hindu majority votes in their favour, but miserably failed. BJP’s loss, if translated into Lok Sabha seats, would be about 17 seats, out of 25 they had won in Lok Sabha election 2019. BJP seems to be almost driven out from the Southern states having 129 Lok Sabha seats. Political outcome from communal cauldron of BJP was disheartening for them.

G7 CONCLAVE FAILS TO MEET COMMITMENT FOR NUCLEAR WEAPONS ABOLITION

COMING G20 SUMMIT GIVES INDIA THE OPPORTUNITY TO WORK FOR PEACE
Dr Arun Mitra - 2023-05-31 11:32
Much was expected from the recently concluded summit of group of seven countries the G7 which included USA, UK, France, Canada, Italy, Germany and Japan. Since the world is faced with serious threat of use of nuclear weapons during the on-going Russia Ukraine war, there was a feeling that the G7 will come out with a clear cut commitment and time bound strategy for nuclear disarmament. The summit had special importance as it was held at Hiroshima, a city which faced the catastrophic impact of the first ever use of atomic bomb on human population. The final communiqué released after the summit, the ‘Leaders’ Declaration’, as it is called, however does not cite their explicit commitment to take steps to abolish nuclear weapons as a matter of urgency.

WHILE EXPORT ORDERS DECLINE, IMPORTS ARE INCREASING CONSISTENTLY
K Raveendran - 2023-05-31 11:30
There is a marked slowdown in the containerized exports from India, attributed mainly to a decline in consumer demand for Indian goods in the US, EU and the UK markets, according to data from Container xChange, a leading online platform for container logistics. This trend has impacted the volume of orders received by Indian exporters, resulting in a notable setback in the country’s export performance.

US GOVT PUTTING PRESSURE ON INDIA TO JOIN NATO+ AS A PART OF ASIA-PACIFIC STRATEGY

PRIME MINISTER’S OFFICIAL VISIT TO US IN JUNE ASSUMES CRUCIAL GEOPOLITICAL SIGNIFICANCE
Arun Srivastava - 2023-05-31 10:59
Narendra Modi’s yearning to be acknowledged as the world leader (Vishwa Guru) has landed India in a unpleasant quagmire endangering its identity and credibility built over the years amongst the global fraternity. The longing was so acute that he even ignored the conventional wisdom to realise and at the same time to do some comprehensive analysis of the factors which conjure US or China or Russia to have India on its side.
