More and more enterprises are also resorting to anti-labour policies such as layoffs and fixed-term or informal employments without providing social security to workforce.

TURNCOAT POLITICIANS ARE WEAKENING THE VERY ROOT OF PARLIAMENTARY DEMOCRACY

KARNATAKA ONCE AGAIN HAS EMERGED AS A BIG MARKET FOR LEGISLATORS ON SALE
Mriganka M Bhowmick - 2023-04-24 15:34
Indian politics nowadays revolves only around elections. As politics moves from one election to another, leaders also switch parties. Turncoat politics is a new normal, and, most disturbingly, it is accepted across the political spectrum. The upcoming Karnataka assembly election on May 10th has led to an exodus of BJP leaders towards Congress, and Congress is gleefully proclaiming the headcount in social media, as the number grows from five to seven, and then to ten and counting. Congress, otherwise critical of BJP for wooing its leaders to join BJP, is now a satisfying soul after seeing the reverse trend, much oblivious to its earlier stand. The vicious cycle continues state after state, from BJP to Congress, from Congress to BJP, from TMC to BJP, and so on. Evidently, this cycle rotates clockwise towards the perceived winning side in the upcoming election.
