He has not embraced the VVIP culture—in Delhi, those who observe Karnataka closely are of the view that the BJP has strengthened itself after making Basavraj Bommai the Chief Minister,” Shah had said.

Sushil Kutty - 2022-04-13 10:39
This time, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao chose to travel to “national capital” Delhi. The last time it was to Mumbai, India’s commercial capital. Then, he sat with Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray to plot the ouster of Prime Minister Narendra Modi come 2024. This time he doesn’t need another pair of shoulders. For all his slim frame, KCR is no lightweight in political circles.

NARENDRA MODI HAS PLAYED WELL IN THE PRESENT DIPLOMATIC GAME OVER UKRAINE WAR

BOTH BIDEN AND PUTIN ARE FORCED TO TREAT HIM WITH DUE RESPECT AND DIGNITY
Sushil Kutty - 2022-04-12 11:04
The elephant in the room at the virtual Modi-Biden talk on Monday evening Indian time did not allow a free and fair discussion in the ‘Virtual Room’, which is different from the ‘Oval Room’. That said, there aren’t any elephants in Russia, only Siberian bears and the fossilized remains of the sabre-tooth. US President Joe Biden’s “let’s talk about how to manage the destabilizing effects of Russia’s war” did not make Prime Minister Narendra Modi any more effusive than he usually is.

POOR NEED A LIFE OF DIGNITY WITH BETTER LIVELIHOOD OPPORTUNITIES

CURRENT FOOD SUBSIDY PROGRAMME IS JUST A MOMENTARY HELP
Dr. Gyan Pathak - 2022-04-12 11:01
When a person in extreme poverty gets food to eat, it is indeed a relief, and absorbs the major chunk of shock from destitution, but does not eradicate poverty. Throwing some loafs of bread before a hungry is not at all a poverty eradication programme, and hence the praise showered on Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKAY) by Finance Minister of our country, especially after publication of an International Monetary Fund (IMF) working paper is only an effort to conceal the worsening ground reality of destitution, a product of lack of livelihood which Modi government has failed to provide.

Sushil Kutty - 2022-04-11 12:29
In recent days, South Indian films have been very objective in depicting the social reality and it is not surprising that the mainstream media is being exposed for its loss of credibility, especially the television channels. Right now, Malayalam film, ‘Naradan’, has come down heavily on the mainstream media, especially the television news channels, which will go to any extent to accumulate TRP.
