DELHI SLUMS AND UNAUTHORISED COLONIES POSSESS THE KEY TO WINNING DELHI

BJP AND CONGRESS TRYING TO WOO THEM, BUT AAP IS STILL THEIR FAVOURITE
Dr. Gyan Pathak - 2025-01-14 14:39
The way AAP, BJP and the Congress have been trying to woo the electorates living in Delhi’s slums, unauthorized colonies, and less developed areas, it is increasingly becoming clear that the key to winning the legislative assembly elections lies with them. Over 50 per cent of the voters live in these areas, and majority of them have been behaving as collective support base of the AAP since 2013 Vidhan Sabha elections.

Satyaki Chakraborty - 2025-01-14 14:36
Is Europe finally giving a rebuff to the far right offensive to its democratic functioning by the Donald Trump-Elon Musk combination? The issue is now being discussed widely in European political circles after the resounding victory of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) candidate Zoran Milanovic in the January 12 presidential elections run off as well as the latest opinion polls in Germany on the eve of the national elections on February 23 this year.

TALK OF ‘HINDU SHERNI’ NUPUR SHARMA CONTESTING AS BJP CANDIDATE HAS NO BASIS

DESPITE SOCIAL MEDIA TANTRUMS, FORMER SPOKESPERSON STILL REMAINS A PARIAH
Sushil Kutty - 2025-01-14 14:34
A video of the castaway BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma taking part in a 'Jan Jagran Yatra' ahead of the Ayodhya Ram Mandir 'pran pratishta' claiming that this was Nupur Sharma campaigning for the upcoming Delhi assembly elections was fact-checked and found wrong. Unlike 'Meta', Facebook's parent-body, India's fact-checkers hadn't succumbed to President-elect Donald Trump's my-wish-is-a-command tactic.

INDUSTRIAL INVESTMENT CLIMATE IN WEST BENGAL IS SHOWING SOME POSITIVE SIGNS

FOCUS SHIFTS TO 8TH EDITION OF BENGAL GLOBAL BUSINESS SUMMIT ON FEBRUARY 5 - 6
Rabindra Nath Sinha - 2025-01-14 14:31
KOLKATA: It is time to say with a degree of confidence that an investment drought that has afflicted West Bengal all these years has started disappearing and the first signs of a sustainable improvement have become visible. The situation had turned worse after the Tatas quit the 80 per cent complete Nano car project at Singur in Hooghly district in 2008 in the face of intense agitation against land acquisition for the facility by the Left Front government. The decision of Bombay House shook the confidence of investors and for them West Bengal became a ‘no, no’ state. Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee, who became chief minister in May 2011 and is into her third term, did not realise the implications of her action and never repented the departure of the country’s most respected and internationally acclaimed Tata Group.

In December 2024, another shocking case of violation of patients’ rights and huge financial demand by a private hospital sparked public outrage and media attention. During this incident in Pune, the family of 35-year-old Tejaswini, who passed away on December 9, 2024, was forced to resort to a hunger strike outside a prominent private hospital to claim the body of their family member.

TRUMPETING A US ANNEXATION OF CANADA, GREENLAND MAY NOT BE A WISHFUL THINKING

MANY COUNTRIES HAVE FORCIBLY ANNEXED FOREIGN TERRITORIES
Nantoo Banerjee - 2025-01-13 11:55
There seems to exist a method in US President-elect Donald Trump’s madness when he talks about his desire to annex Canada and Greenland, and renaming the Gulf of Mexico among others. A US annexation of Canada is possible through a treaty between the two countries involving the British Monarch, or a referendum by Canadian citizens in favour of joining the US, or through the use of force. Canada’s economy is highly dependent on the United States of America. Forcible occupation of countries is nothing new even in the post-colonial era. The US has been interested in grabbing the vast territory of Canada ever since its creation under the British North America Act of 1867. Canada is a bijural country. The legal concepts are expressed in both English and French. The British Monarch, King Charles III, is the constitutional head of Canada. Although he does not rule the country, the British King is a fundamental part of Canada's government and identity.

HOME MINISTER AMIT SHAH’S END OF ‘POLITICS OF BETRAYAL’ REFERENCE HAS TWIN TARGETS

APART FROM UDDHAV AND SHARAD, EKNATH SHINDE AND AJIT PAWAR ARE ON FIRING LINE
Dr. Gyan Pathak - 2025-01-13 11:49
It is only after a week of Uddhav Thackeray’s ‘Saamana’ praising its political adversary BJP leader and Chief Minister of the state Devendra Fadnavis and a reported reunion efforts between the NCP factions led by Ajit Pawar and Sharad Pawar, Union Minister of Home Amit Shah has said about the end of ‘Politics of Betrayal’, overtly referring to Sharad Pawar and Uddhav Thackeray, but covertly targeting its own allies in general across the country, and Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar in particular in Maharashtra by reminding them about the end result, in case they try to betray the BJP. It indicates Maharashtra politics is still very active beneath the surface, especially after announcement of the election result on November 23.

AMERICAN IMMIGRATION COUNCIL REPORT BACKS VIEWS OF MUSK AND KRISHNAN ON H-1B VISAS
Kunal Bose - 2025-01-13 11:46
What is brain waste? The term is used in reference to immigrants in developed countries whose educational achievements, professional distinction, language skills and legal status are often undervalued leading to their underemployment or unemployment. It is not that their native born peers are never victims of being overqualified for the jobs they hold. But percentagewise, the natives fare much better than the immigrants in the job market, underlining discrimination, consciously or not.

GREENLAND CAN BE ANOTHER MARA-A-LAGO OF DONALD TRUMP FAMILY

TRUMP JR. HAS BEEN ON THE PROWL ALONG WITH HIS FATHER FOR LONG
Sushil Kutty - 2025-01-13 11:43
Is Donald Trump Jr behind President-elect Donald Trump's wish to buy, occupy Greenland? Donald Trump, the real-estate hobo, probably got influenced by Trump Jr and wants to humour his eldest. Donald Trump Jr was recently in Greenland, what’s the hurry?
