Siddharth Chaturvedi and Priyansh Bharadwaj - 2022-02-11 11:32
Recently, multinational technology company Meta’s founder Mark Zuckerberg remarked at an event that ‘India will hugely contribute in building Metaverse.’ This statement raises hope that India is on the cusp of bringing a new revolution of the Internet to the world. WHERE IS THE PLAN FOR EMPLOYMENT IN THIS ERA OF DISTRESS, JOBLESSNESS?

BUDGET 2022-23 OFFERS NO SUCCOUR AND RELIEF TO THE VULNERABLE
Krishna Jha - 2022-02-10 15:07
Budget has come, offering no optimism, no security against the nose diving economy, and without succour to the starving, unemployed masses. Whatever it has offered for the common masses is underlined by the falling living standards and continuation of further contraction. As even essentials are getting beyond the reach of the masses, there can hardly be expected any growth in the consumer spending. The incomes are eroded in every region of the society except that of the corporate. At the very subsistence level, the expenses spent on basic minimum keep eating away into the savings even for the middle class not to mention those living under poverty line.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ANI interview was by a journalist who hobnobs with BJP leaders. So it was that the questions were to Modi’s comfort level. Most of the 70 minutes went with the feeling that Modi was interviewing Modi! The one-on-one interview setting, however, kept Modi from re-enacting the parliamentary performance of the day before which fetched him sustained rounds of applause and lots of table-thumping.

CONGRESS PARTICIPATION IN BJP LED GOVT IN MEGHALAYA IS A BIG BLOW TO OPPOSITION NATIONALLY

RAHUL GANDHI'S IMAGE AS A FIRM BUILDER OF ANTI-BJP ALLIANCE HAS GOT A JOLT
Nitya Chakraborty - 2022-02-10 10:38
The decision of the five members of the Congress Legislature Party in Meghalaya to participate in the Government along with the BJP, is a big blow to the efforts of the opposition parties at the national level to build unity against the BJP in the coming Lok Sabha elections in 2024. Only last week, the Congress Lok Sabha member and de facto party chief Rahul Gandhi gave an impassioned speech in the house exposing the Narendra Modi Government and offering a vision of a secular and inclusive India which will be possible only by uniting the non-BJP parties against the Sangh Parivar. His speech opened the way for working on a platform for the non-BJP parties including the Congress to challenge the BJP in the coming national battle two years hence.
