PRIME MINISTER’S RETURN TO DELHI FROM FLYOVER IS A VICTORY FOR FARMERS

THEIR AGITATION CONTINUES TILL ALL DEMANDS ARE MET BY THE CENTRE
Sushil Kutty - 2022-01-06 11:29
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been rudely reminded that the farmers’ protests are far from over, Modi’s unilateral surrender notwithstanding—it did not make a dent on the farmers’ spirits. Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi alluded to as much when asserting that but for Covid-19 quarantine rules, he would have been at Modi's side on the flyover.

BJP GOVT’S ECONOMIC AGENDA HAS DRIED UP NEW JOB OPPORTUNITIES IN ECONOMY

UNEMPLOYMENT RATE HITTING FOUR MONTH HIGH IN DECEMBER GIVES A BAD SIGNAL
Krishna Jha - 2022-01-06 11:22
It is not wanderlust that drives people to places, these days it is replaced by hunger, a force that cannot be staved off. Some time back, the number of migratory labour, retrenched, pushed out, had shocked us with their growing number as thousands of men and women, children and the old, had walked through the long, bumpy stretches to arrive at, oh no, not at the green pastures of their dreams, but somewhere with bread. The spectre of hunger still haunts, taking its toll. Jobs are getting fewer every day. Openings are limited, choices scant, and never according to one’s skills. One could have done business management and apply for a gardener’s job or if one has done a doctorate, one can be a peon in a school. System refuses to open up for those skilled for their expertise, it prefers to let them waste.

The first FIR lodged had only one name, that too of a Muslim who converted to Hinduism. Subsequently, after another FIR was filed, four more names were added including that of Yati Narsinghanand, the organiser of the event.

NARENDRA MODI’S ACCUSATION AGAINST PUNJAB CM ON SECURITY LAPSE MAKES NO SENSE

UNION HOME MINISTRY HAS BIGGER RESPONSIBILITY AS IT KNEW OF THE DHARNAS
Arun Srivastava - 2022-01-06 10:32
Never before in the history of our country, a Prime Minister had cast aspersion on the state’s chief minister as was done by Narendra Modi on Wednesday in Punjab. Modi on his return to Bhatinda airport after his aborted visit to Ferozepur had told a senior Punjab official, “Apne CM ko thanks kehna, ki mein Bhatinda airport tak zinda laut paaya.”
