NARENDRA MODI HAS BIG APATHY TO COMPLAINTS BY OPPOSITION PARTIES

OUR PRIME MINISTER IS HOWEVER UNSPARING AGAINST HIS POLITICAL RIVALS
Sushil Kutty - 2021-10-04 10:47
Please nobody should complain. Especially don’t complain about Prime Minister Narendra Modi's programmes and policies. Criticism is okay, but not complaints. PM Modi is extremely sensitive to “complaints”. Especially those from miffed and upset farmers, and those from the opposition parties. The farmers are opposed to the Centre’s three farm laws, which they complain are “black laws”. Opposition parties complain of everything that Modi does. Period.

BJP IS GETTING FULL ADVANTAGE OF ELECTORAL BONDS IN ELECTIONS

SUPREME COURT MUST INTERVENE TO ENSURE LEVEL PLAYING FIELD IN POLITY
Gyan Pathak - 2021-10-04 10:41
A scheme that overtly or covertly benefits a particular group is partial, and hence for impartiality’s sake it must be struck down. Sale of electoral bond in India falls in this category, since it benefits the party that made it. However, despite concerns expressed by the Election Commission of India of its misuse and many petitions challenging in Supreme Court remaining pending Modi government went ahead with its sale from October 1 to October 10, 2021. Political parties in, opposition have also opposed the scheme since they have been at receiving ends, but who cares.

DOMESTIC DRUG PRICES ARE GOING THROUGH THE ROOF

RETAIL DISCOUNTS MAKE MOCKERY OF REGULATORS
Nantoo Banerjee - 2021-10-04 10:35
Little is heard of India’s National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA) and its Drug Price Control Order (DPCO), these days. This is despite the fact that most drug prices have zoomed by over 60 to 100 percent since last year. Thanks to the lack of actions by the regulatory authority, pharmaceutical companies are having a field day. Profit-wise, the industry is booming in the domestic market. The world’s third largest manufacturer of pharmaceuticals by volume never had it so good. And, this is substantially at the cost of a large proportion of the country’s population whose purchasing power is extremely low.
