Pratik Patnaik - 2021-09-03 11:36
The American blues musician, Arley “Buster” Benton’s famed number Money Is the Name of the Game has been the venerated adage of business pundits from the time of the Greco-Roman slave economy, through the tyrannical age of the ‘Industrial Revolution’ to the current age of neoliberal capitalism.

MODI REFORMS DEBILITATED BY ANTIQUATED BUREAUCRACY, RED TAPE

MISSION KARMAYOGI LAUNCHED TO GIVE BABUS A NEW FACE
Subrata Majumder - 2021-09-03 11:32
In a recent appraisal meeting with NHAI, flagging the issue of delay in projects, Prime Minister Narendra Modi asked Cabinet Secretary to prepare a dossier of babus who were responsible for the delay in projects. This unfolded Prime Minister’s frustration with bureaucracy and a warning to deal with babus with iron hands who are engulfed by red tape, which caused his reforms to fail, denying windfalls to the people.

NATIONAL EDUCATION POLICY IS ENCOURAGING THE POLITICS OF EXCLUSION
Rudrashish Chakraborty - 2021-09-03 10:54
University of Delhi has been ravaged by a recent controversy pertaining to the revised syllabi of a few departments — namely, English, History, Political Science and Sociology. On August 24, 2021, the Academic Council, the highest statutory body on academic matters, approved syllabi of the aforesaid departments with arbitrary additions/deletions suggested by an ‘Oversight Committee’ which acted as an extra-statutory authority on academic matters despite having no member from the concerned departments.

PEOPLE REELING UNDER BJP RULE, BUT OPPOSITION IN DISARRAY

CONGRESS POLITICIANS MAKING GRAVE ERROR OF JUDGEMENT
Dr. Gyan Pathak - 2021-09-03 10:49
One can’t fail to see people reeling under anguish, and even the BJP politicians are cutting a sorry figure when confronted by the miserable conditions of the people due to fear of political backlash, but the opposition parties are in utter disarray. They seem to fail in overcoming too complex a psychological reason that remains a hurdle in their way of unity despite their leadership feeling the need of such unity in the present socio-politico-economic conditions of India. A bigger responsibility of course lies with the INC, the largest political party in opposition, but its politicians are vertically split, from top to bottom, in their personal greed due to their grave assessment errors regarding their prospect of gains. BJP leadership is under great stress on account of people’s anguish on the ground, but happy to see the utterly scattered opposition.

HIGH FUEL PRICES SHOULD BE THE MAJOR CONCERN FOR THE MODI GOVERNMENT

LOW INCOME PEOPLE AND JOB LOSERS ARE SUFFERING FROM HIGH INFLATION
Sagarneel Sinha - 2021-09-02 12:05
Petrol sells at Rs 100 at many places across the country. In those places where the price hasn’t yet crossed Rs 100, petrol sells near to it. Prices of diesel too are high. It now sells near to Rs 90 — in cities like Mumbai, it sells near to Rs 100. If this isn’t enough domestic LPG cylinders prices have been rising.

BJP SPOKESPERSONS ARE PLAYING DOUBLE SPEAK ON ENGAGING WITH TALIBANS

SANGH PARIVAR IS CLUELESS ON DECIDING THE CORRECT STRATEGY FOR MODI
Sushil Kutty - 2021-09-02 12:01
It’s embarrassing to watch and listen to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s spokespersons and Modi’s ‘friendly Media’ cohorts trying desperately to establish a narrative to rationalize Modi’s decision to ‘engage’ with Taliban “terrorists”. Till before Tuesday evening, BJP spokespersons stuck with the ‘terrorists’ label for the Taliban usurpers of Afghanistan, but, since then, there’s disengagement from the word ‘terrorists’ vis a vis the Taliban.
