BIG TALK ON SCHOOL EDUCATION BUT SLUGGISHNESS IN ACTION

EVEN PARLIAMENTARY PANEL COULD NOT STIR THE MODI GOVERNMENT
Gyan Pathak - 2021-08-24 12:39
The world has been talking about a lost generation for quite some time. International institutions like OECD and UNICEF have categorically asked governments across the globe not to delay opening of educational institutions and provided a roadmap how to bring students safely back to their classes. In India’s context, a parliamentary panel had given its reports and recommendation a fortnight ago on August 6, 2021 in this regard, which seems failed to stir the Modi government. Decisions are being taken to open educational institutions, but majority of the recommendations are ignored, while there is no initiatives of proper planning. Union government is talking big, but clearly sluggish in action.

She did so in 2004 and formed a coalition government (UPA) fighting against the mighty Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee when she was considered almost a novice in politics. She did so when the BJP was on a high with its 'India shining' campaign.

THE BEST WAY TO SUPPORT CUBAN ECONOMY IS TO END THE US BLOCKADE

THE CARRIBEAN NATION IS FACING REAL CRISIS DUE TO COVID AND SLOWDOWN
Aviva Chomsky - 2021-08-23 14:26
COVID-19 has brought economic and social crises to much of the world, and nowhere more than the Third World, where poor infrastructure, poverty, resource export dependence, inequality, and lack of accountability are endemic. Protests against scarcity, structural violence, police brutality, and corruption erupted everywhere from the United States to Colombia, Haiti, Brazil, Guatemala, Ecuador, Chile, and Argentina, just to mention a few. That unrest in Latin America rarely merited notice in the US news media — until it happened in Cuba.
