OPPOSITION ALLEGES MISUSE OF POWER FOR ZILA PANCHAYAT POLLS

21 BJP PRESIDENTS ELECTED UNOPPOSED
Pradeep kapoor - 2021-06-30 11:07
LUCKNOW: Opposition parties have accused ruling BJP of misusing the official machinery to capture maximum number of zila panchayats. BJP has already won zila panchayat presidents in 21 districts unopposed while there would be direct fight between BJP and Samajwadi Party in 53 districts on July 3. Since BSP president Mayawati annouced that her party would not contest the zila panchayats president's polls, Samajwadi Party, BJP and other parties are busy in winning over the members to vote for their candidates.

GOVT FAILURE TO COUNTER PRASHANT BHUSHAN WILL HIT VACCINATIONS

ANTI-VAXERS NEED TO BE EXPOSED AS THREAT TO HUMAN RACE
Sushil Kutty - 2021-06-30 11:04
Anti-vaxer Prashant Bhushan and the gang arrested in Gujarat while spreading vaccine disaffection in the streets are among those who believe that vaccines are “spike protein bioweapons” and “those dying from Covid are who have been vaccinated”, and that vaccines “don’t really work.” Ergo “natural immunity” is the best because it produces more “general” antibodies which work against all Covid variants. These people go to the extent of saying that Covid vaccines are part of a global medical experiment, which is bound to fail!

CENTRE’S APATHY ON MIGRANT WORKERS “UNPARDONABLE”

WHY NOT EXTEND ONORC SCHEME TO ALL MIGRANT WORKERS
Gyan Pathak - 2021-06-30 09:59
The Centre’s “apathy and lackadaisical attitude” on extending welfare measures to migrant workers have now been noted even by the Supreme Court of India, which termed it “unpardonable”, and then passed an order that the very instrument – the National Database for Unorganised Workers (NDUW) – through which welfare measures are to be implemented be commenced by July 31, 2021. Not only that, the SC had to pass an order to the Centre to allocate additional foodgrains, and the states and the Union Territories (UTs) to frame appropriate schemes. However, the orders cannot be carried out in their true sense within the cut-off date, and here lies the real challenge of their implementation.

ANTI-BJP FRONT HAS POSSIBILITIES OF SUCCESS WITH PARTICIPATION OF CONGRESS

SHARAD PAWAR CAN ACT AS A BRIDGE BETWEEN RAHUL AND REGIONAL LEADERS
Kalyani Shankar - 2021-06-29 10:27
The idea of an alternate front has emerged once again after the meeting held at the Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar's residence recently. Why is the idea gaining ground though there are three more years for the next General elections? Some opposition leaders believe that non-BJP parties should join hands without waiting for Congress to take the initiative. Pawar was categorical that any new alliance will include Congress to fight the BJP and added such a collation should have collective leadership.

Satyaki Chakraborty - 2021-06-29 09:50
The French far-right party National Rally led by Le Pen, who is a front-runner in the opinion polls for the presidential elections next year, suffered a major jolt in the regional elections held on Sunday when NR failed to win even a single region out of thirteen in which polling took place. Similar was the fate of President Macron’s party En Marche which could not make any mark.
