This fear was the main base for resentment against the Amended citizenship law after the home minister revealed his plans for fresh registration of citizens. Their fears were further confirmed with the home minister, during the state assembly election campaign, calling demonstrators anti-nationals and traitors. The young minister in the NaMo government made provocative remarks to incite crowds to teach a lesson to opponents. Another BJP leader who lost the assembly poll threatened to eliminate the opponents. Yet no disciplinary actions followed against hem for abetting violence.
While the Prime Minister Narendra Modi was engaged in presenting a rousing welcome to the visiting American President at the Motera stadium in Ahmadabad, a video message was viral on the social media in Delhi showing a burning petrol pump and a house in poor locality in Delhi. The violence left 46 dead and 185 injured admitted to hospitals but it was definitely not a communal riot as many Muslim families found safe haven in the Hindu families.
Images of the violence reached Indians settled in America and Britain for decades through social media to cause jubilation. Few young raised the issue of their concerns over the probable and potential repercussions to provoke the original residents of their new homelands. Indian population in America grew by 70 per cent in the last decade to reach the mark of nearly one per cent and Britain has 2.3 per cent of its population made by persons of the Indian origins. More important fact is Indians are a more prosperous section in their adopted lands. Many educated Indians are employed in their chosen sectors in America with dominant positions in the Silicon Valley. Indians run the most services in America.
Donald Trump won the last presidential election on his promise to make America for Americans. He immediately restricted the issue of vocation based entry to America. Britain ended the employment permission even to those who completed their education in Britain. Indians settled outside India had shown their enthusiasm to welcome the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on first visit to their land for attaining new life of prosperity. Most of them did not hesitate to show their resentment for the previous regimes led by the Congress. The root cause of their resentment was born of their dislike for the government sponsored welfare schemes for backwards in the abyss of socio-economic deprivation for centuries. They did not like the prosperous persons made to pay for feeding hungry mouths of less fortunate.
While replying to the debate on the motion to thank the President for his inaugural address to the first session in 2014, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi referred to the opportunities that young educated Indians could and did have in most of developed nations reeling under impact of acute shortage of working hands due to their old and ageing work forces. With training of skills needed, educated Indians can find jobs in any part of the world. He was dreaming to convert educated young Indians to be export surplus as the solution to the major Indian problem of creating jobs for her educated young. But his colleagues in the party are seeking solution in eliminating the poor from the national obligation to feed the poor.
Not until the end of the World War II but 18 more years thereafter, non-whites were not treated as equals in America. Many instances of rejoicing at the ceremonial burning of non-whites in Texas in 1963 were reported to help Martin Luther King to intensify his movement to make non-whites to be accepted as equals. American voters elected a non-white Barak Obama to be their President in the first decade of the new century, not once but twice.
China remained in isolation even after its independence in 1948 and thirty years of the Communist tyranny under the chairman Mao. With his departure, China still a Communist regime had to open doors of its exclusive economic structure for participation and exploitation of its labour force and other services by the private sector from outside China. The Soviet Russia ceased to be the second World Power with its dissolution in 20 small nations after the collapse of the Communist regime in the last decade of the last century. Communism has almost collapsed. But some politicians in India dream of eliminating a section of her population that survived for seven centuries as it had adopted the Indian culture.
An young Indian settled in Texas raised a valid question - what would be reaction of prosperous Indians settled in America if told by young Americans that their brown skin does not make them Americans, so they have no place in the American life. Young and employed Indians have been under the physical attacks and mental torment by the locals in Britain, New Zealand and Australia for a decade now. They feel the heat as locals are unable to win and do jobs that Indians easily get and deliver results.
The outcome of the 2014 election had staggered the world with heads of three major economic powers rushing to India for Narendra Modi had won the mandate for his government where everyone was included in his dream and in his philosophy. Now India is being divided in two sections, the prosperous and the poor Indians. In the modern era no nation can survive with such a division. Poor sections are essential need of every society to perform jobs that the middle classes cannot and do not perform.

UNITY IN THREAT TO SURVIVAL

Several localities in the Southern outskirts of Delhi are of lower middle class and poor families. Few hundred thousand families have lived as neighbours without the religious differences souring their relations. Their lack of the economic ability is the cementing bondage for their relations. They all share same concerns even on the attempts to impose new criterion for conferring citizenship. The poor regardless of their religion see in it an attempt by the middle classes to deprive them of benefits of the welfare schemes to push them further down and make their survival impossible. Existence of poor, Dalit was always resented by the middle class as elements with their mouth open with insatiable demands for more. If they are denied citizenship they are no more responsibility of the party in power.
