Abd al-Athiyah (d.828) Abd al- Athiyah was an Arabic poet. He died in 828. He was a prominent poet of the Umayyad dynasty. He was famous for ascetic views and gloomy outlook. He used Hadith (saying of the prophet Muhammad) in his poetry.
