Adenosine monophosphate

Adenosine monophosphate or AMP is a term in biochemistry that refers to a compound in which an adenosine molecule is bonded to one acidic phosphate group found in most DNA and RNA.

It is also found in a cyclic form with the phosphate bonded to the nucleoside at two points.
