Agatha Christie

Agatha Christie (1891-1976) was an English writer, began publishing detective stories in 1920. Her first novel, The Mysterious Affair at Styles was immediately successful. She joined second husband, archaeologist Max Mallowan, on archaelogical excavations. She wrote over seventy novels, plus short stories and plays, and is known for characters such as Hercule Poirot and Miss Marple.
