Alexander Smith
Alexander Smith (1829 - 1867) was a Scottish poet, born in Kilmarnock. He began life as a pattern-designer, contributed to the Glasgow Citizen, wrote a volume of poems, "A Life Drama," (1853) and produced other works in a style characterised as "spasmodic," and which, according to Tennyson, "showed fancy, but not imagination".Nearby pages
