Allamanda

Allamanda is any of the shrubs and climbers of the Allamanda genus and Apocynaceae family. It is named after a Swiss naturalist Jean-Nicholas Sebastien Allamand (1713-87). Some of the allamandas, such as the South American yellow allamanda, are cultivated as ornamental plants because these bear showy yellow or purple flowers. It is found in the tropical regions.
