Amelia Bloomer

Amelia Bloomer (1818 — 94), full name Amelia Jenks Bloomer, was a US suffragette and social reformer. She was the founder and editor of the feminist paper 'Lily'. The paper was founded in 1849, and she served as editor during 1849 — 55. She wore full pants of a particular design which was named 'bloomers' after her. It was a loose-fitting trousers. She advocated for similar garment for girls and women.
