Amphioxus

Amphioxus is the name of a lancelet, a small marine invertebrate. In several parts of Asia, amphioxus is caught for food. It formerly belonged to the genus Amphioxus, but the name of the genus has been changed and is now called Branchiostoma. It belongs to the family Branchiostomidae.
