Anamnesis

Anamnesis simply means recollection.

In Platonic philosophy, it is remembrance of things which were supposed to have existed previously.

In medicine, it is the medical history of the self as told by a patient.

In Christian Church, anamnesis is the part of the Eucharist, in which the Passion of the Christ, his Resurrection, and Ascension are recalled as part of ritual.
