Anand Gupta

Anand Gupta was a revolutionary freedom fighter of India. He was son of Jogendra Mohan Gupta. Anand Gupta was in business while he was studying in College. However, he joined the party of Masterda Surya Sen in 1927. He is known as one of those freedom fighters under Ambica Chakraborty who made an assault on the Telegraph office, and subsequently arrested in Chandannagar near Calcutta on 01.09.1930 along with Ganesh Ghosh and Loknath Ball. He was one of the hunger strikers in Cellular Jail.

Anand Gupta was repatriated in 1937 and released in 1943 from jail. His total jail period was 13 years.
