Aptronym, also aptonym, is a name of a person that is also appropriate for his quality or profession. It is a coincidence that the names of both the person and his or her situation are the same, or have a close correspondence. Fore example, in the sentence 'Mr Judge was a judge', the word 'Judge' is an Aptronym.
