Bar-Cochba

Bar-Cochba, also known as Simeon, was a Jewish rebel leader. In the Bible, his name is mentioned as Simeon, a Hebrew patriarch, the second son of Jacob and Leah. He was also accepted by some of his Jewish contemporaries as the Messiah. As per the Jewish sources, he led the rebellion in AD 132 against the Romans.
