Bashi-Bazouks

Bashi-Bazouks were a irregular, undisciplined troops in the pay of the Sultan of the Ottoman Empire. They rendered themselves odious by their brutality in the Bulgarian atrocities of 1876, as well as, more or less, in the time of the Crimean war.
