Bayberry

Bayberry is a North American shrub of the genus Myrica, belonging to the family Myricaceae. It bears waxy berries. Its leaves are leathery and aromatic. Several species of bayberry are found including the 'northern bayberry' (Myrica pensylvanica) and 'black bayberry' (Myrica heterophylla).

Bay rum tree is also called bayberry. It is a tropical American shrub. Its aromatic leaves are used in making bay rum. Botanical name of this shrub is Pimenta racemosa. It belongs to the family Myrtaceae.
