Bircher

Bircher is a name given to a member or supporter of the John Birch Society. It was founded in the United States of America in 1958 as a conservative anticommunist organisation. The society was named after a Baptist missionary and US Army Air Force officer. He was killed by Chinese communists in 1945, and thus becoming the "first casualty of the Cold War".
