Blackjack

Blackjack is the name of a gambling card game. Players in the game try to acquire cards as closer as possible to a face value 21 without going over. That is why it is also called twenty-one. The game is also known by the name vingt-et-un.

Blackjack is also a name of a club which is used as a weapon. It is short, leather-covered, and typically filled with lead.

Formerly, a pirate's black ensign was also called blackjack, which has now become a part of history. A container of alcoholic drinks made of tarred-leather was also called blackjack.
