Chippeways
Chippeways are Red Indian tribe. They live chiefly in Michigan, U.S., and in adjoining Canada. They originally occupied the North and West of Lake Superior. By the beginning of the 20th century their population was some 12,000. The Ojibwe, Ojibwa, Chippewa, or Saulteaux are an Anishinaabe people. As of 2010, the Ojibwe population was approximately 320,000, with 170,742 living in the United States as of 2010, and approximately 160,000 living in Canada. According to US Census, there were 77,940 mainline Ojibwe, 76,760 Saulteaux, and 8,770 Mississauga.Nearby pages
