Nancy Astor

Nancy Astor (1879-1964), born Nancy Witcher Langhorne, was a viscountess and British politician. She was born in the United States, married to William Waldorf Astor, succeeded husband as a Conservative member of Parliament (1919), and became the first woman with seat in the House of Commons.
