Pear S Buck

Pear S Buck (1892-1973), full name Pearl Sydenstricker Buck, was a US writer and novelist. She was raised in China, went to US and returned to China in adulthood to work as a missionary. Sh is best known for her novel "The Good Earth" which was a bestselling novel in the United States in 1931 and 1932 and won the Pulitzer Prize in 1932. In 1938 she became winner of Nobel Prize in literature for the novel The Good Earth, substantially based on her knowledge of china.
